Report on USA CREDIT... BEWARE!!!

I hope this report helps all of us who have been ripped off by this company. I found the website and the prices are $100-$300 more than sold at other retail stores. I am going to cancel before my funds are withdrawn, I decided use a postdated payment, wish me luck. Good-Luck to those who are trying to regain their loss, this business needs to be shut down immediately!!!

REPORT: CMG has responded to most complaints filed with the BBB, usually by offering refunds and explanations of its position, others remain unanswered. This company has an unsatisfactory record with the Bureau due to a pattern of no response to customer complaints and failure to eliminate the basic cause of customer complaints brought to its attention by the Bureau.

The company also does business under the name USA Credit offering two credit cards one a Visa card with a $300 line of credit the other is a card good only for catolog on line shopping.in March CMG & the FTC reached a settlement of the Court complaint. The Settlement states that CMG, Great Escapes Vacations, Frederick F Ziegler III and Robert E Kane agreed without admitting to any wrongdoing pay approximately $145,000 for the purpose of consumer redress, comply with the Telemarketing Sales Rule and FTC Act.

It is further ordered that the company takes reasonable steps to monitor all employees & independent contractors engaged in sale or customer service functions including investigating any consumer complaint received.in May the Attorney General of Pennsylvania entered a Consent Decree against Commonwealth Marketing.

The Consent Decree states that CMG shall pay $30,00 in civil penalties, costs, and attorney fees and discontinue from selling travel packages to Pennsylvania consumers and travel packages to Consumers residing outside of Pennsylvania without first registering with the Attorney General's Office in accordance with the Telemarketer Registration Act. February the principal of Commonwealth Marketing Group Frederick F Ziegler III pleaded guilty in US District Court to tax charges and no contest to bank fraud in connection with a credit card scheme.

The credit card case if from July 1996 to March 1997 during this time the company sold vacations packages to people with bad credit financing the purchase with a limited high credit charge card. Ziegler has been sentenced to 15 to 18 months in a federal prison.
