Gary Job Corps
Treated like a convict the staff is a joke, you are placed with teen and adult court ordered criminals!

Back in My childhood friend and i wanted to change our lives. She was 21 and I 25 We thought that we sould enroll at Gary Job Corps thinking it help us do so.
Unfortunately we were deceived. My friend and I had NO prior convictions Yet we were placed with teen and adult court ordered criminals.

Below are the reasons never Gary Join Job Corps

The 1st day there we were searched like prisoners.
We sat there along with a big group of teens and adults. We were brain washed for 3 days. We were told that we had messed up our lives and thats why we were there and that we belonged to the government now. WE NEVER COMMITED ANY CRIME!
The dorms were disgusting!!!
The med staff was a joke!
The staff is cold blooded
At one point my friend broke out in hives from the mold inside the dorm in the buildings. The medical staff could'nt help because they had no real medications to help her.

The staff was cold harted and very cruel.

I was very new and had only been at job corps for 2 days. I was in the hall of one of the dorms that separated the males form the females. I made a mistake and took the wrong turn into the male dorm. As i opened the door I saw that i was in the wrong dorm. As i began to walk away and shut the door I heard a voice yelling for me to "Come here" I reopened the door. It was a male 6foot tall member of the staff. He began to yell at me like i was an animal. I began to cry he continued to yell.

At one point i started my period. I wasn't able to get in to the dorm area because it all was locked, I needed to get a tampon. The staff was no were to be found they were at lunch. The med station was closed because they were out to lunch aswell. So I walked around with blood in my underware for sometime. When I got to clean up later that night I told my friend I was leaving and she was coming with me. It took us about an hour to find a working pay phone. We called a friend from austin to pick us up. WE GOT OUT ASAP we were there for about 4 days
