AOL America Online ripoff Worldwide

AOL billing is a nightmare! Think twice before you deal with them. They seem to issues in their billing but refuse to clear up THEIR ERRORS. Back in NOvember I called to cancel out service. I spoke with Mike a rep there. I told him I wanted to cancel because we were considering going to our local phone company. He stated that I had been with AOL for almost 2 years and what he could do was provide me with free service until February 6 and I would not be billed. I was very hesitant at acceptiong but Mike assured me t hat I would experience no billing I made it clear that they did not have permission to bill my credit card. He assured me that would not happen. Well if we decided to use our phone company once that was set up AOL would have us on a BYO plan 7.95 per month evidentally Mike changed it over that day! I ended up with 374.92 charge to my credit card. I have been calling them for MONTHS to get this straight! I have recieved collection letters. However, they can continue to send them if they like because I am not paying this bill. I was then billed another 187.46 I just got off the phone with AOL and once again recieved a run around I was n hold for almost the enitre phone call fo which began @ 10:38pm and was concluded@11:28pm. I am so irritated with AOL after 2 years I have been billed 23.90 every month all of a sudden I am billed ridiculous amounts of money. Pleaseeeee helllpppppppp i have all of my proof notes, dates, times and persons spoken with recorded on tape! Thanks! Disgusted aol user jodi newport news, virginia
