EFC refuses to acknowledge cancellation of contract

After training in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu for a while, I had to cancel my contract due to medical reasons. I cancel the contract in writing with the school according to the terms specified in the contract. Now EFC is sending me letters of credit card decline and late payment notices. I sent a letter via fax to EFC and a copy of the cancelled contract as proof. EFC refuses to acknowledge the cancelled contract and continues to send letters seeking payment. The so called "Account Executives" are completely unreasonable and unable or unwilling to understand the most simple terms relating to the contract in question. I will return to train BJJ in the future, but will never do so with a school that uses EFC for their billing.
