My husband and I have been their customer since 1999 when we had to file bankruptcy.

We have made every single payment on time and even paid extra amounts on our account to pay it down.

On March 7 they sent me a letter terminating all of our charging privileges and said that we must continue to pay our account as required by our agreement. We feel that we have been ripped off since our interest rate is 20.5%.

I called First Consumers on March 10 and asked if our interest rate could be lowered so that we could get another credit card. I was told that at this time they are not offering a lower interest rate. I even took it one step further and asked that the girl talk to a supervisor to see if it could and was told a definite no!

I think this is a horrible way to treat people after so much time having this credit card.

Anything that could be done to correct this situation would be appreciated.
