MWI Galleria ripoff fraud scam

Ripping off of the trusting American Citizen...

My wife ordered contour pillows from an ad on TV. After finalizing the order, she was asked if she would like to get information on this exciting way to save lots of money on name brand stores using coupons from this company.

My wife said no, she wasn't interested. They kept pestering her, saying she could cancel within a certain period if she still decided not to, and would not be billed. She again said she wasn't interested, and not to send any info.

Well, we got the pillows, ordered on 10/14/02, about a week later. Now, today, I checked my bank account online, and found this unknown charge of $139.95. I asked my wife about it, and she said she hadn't ordered anything, and neither had I. The charge was for a MWI* Galleria USA, which neither of us had heard or knew about.

I called the toll free number, and they stilled tried to get me to look at the info, which I don't have. I said all I wanted was my money returned to me, which was never authorized. I got the person's name and id number who I talked to. I then looked it up on the internet for a physical address so I could report them, which I have done.

For a cost of $4.95, it has been reported to the Better Business Bureau, the State Attorney's Office, the Federal Trade Commision, and the US Office of Consumer Affairs.
