GRE preparation with kaplan was a big dissapointment. I basically paid for a book and lots practice tests on the computer in their lab test at their location. No real knowledge was ofered in the classroom

I studied at Kaplan for my GRE test. I had a very disappointing experience. We were more than 30 students in a class, and the teacher ran over the material in robotic manner. The teachers act more like annoying sales people than teachers. We received no detailed answers; there was not time for any question or real practice in the classroom. Then we were sent to the computer lab, a small crowded room with no windows.

The computer room was not open late or in the weekends (for adults who work during the day. If you take the training with Kaplan, you basically pay for "their method" (which does not offer real knowledge, but many quick tricks), and you learn it on the computer in their lab, not in the classroom. They promise to give your money back if your scores are not higher. But basically, the scores they compare is a test they give you at the beginning in the classroom (and which is scored by Kaplan!); with the real test you take at the end. I would not recommend Kaplan to anyone.
