The charges they imposed are an outrage!

I was in a restaurant in Atlanta on Sunday, I was supposed to meet someone elsewhere. I was held up in a meeting and couldn't make it. My cell phone battery died, so I was directed to a pay phone. I had no change, but I saw a sticker that said I could use my card to make the call. There were no charges posted so I assumed it would be the same rate and possibly a small fee, similar to ATM fees. I dialed the number and was prompted to give the number calling, my credit card #, expiration and security code. There was no mention of fees, (had they mentioned it then I would have canceled) I was connected to my call.

Today when I looked at my bank statement and I was charged $27.00 for the call!!! It couldn't have lasted more than a minute! I just informed my party that I was held up and couldn't make it and we would reschedule for a later date.

This is an outrage! And must be stopped. Totally unfair to the public for them not to disclose their fees prior to making the call. They are praying on the misfortune of the public and this is not ethical practice. I will not rest until justice is served!!! Clark Howard needs to hear about this company!!!
