Money Paid No Status

I am currently going through the same situation as the guy with the fridge. I have spent a LOT of money on a living room and kitchen set with no status and keep getting told that the stuff will be here in a few weeks. Can't afford to buy directly from Ashley Furniture now because I have spent money with them. The invoice states 8-14 weeks and it is at 8 weeks now with no status and with this recent report I am nervous and disgusted at the same time.

What I wanted to know is where is their items being shipped from and how can we as consumers tell if they have even placed an order for our stuff. We have a receipt and invoice number, but how do we determine if they even ordered our stuff at all? If we knew that we could contact the company directly and avoid them as a middleman who keeps giving us the runaround.

We are all uncomfortable, but if I find out something, anything, its better than nothing.

Any ex-employees, current employees or others that have received items from them or their catalogs please help us find out where our stuff is! I can try to go down there but I live in NC and need help!!
