Afni collections, Verizon California, Contel Of The South, GTE, Verizon sent me a fraudulent collection letter for $794.65 on a bogas telephone number in a name I haven't used in twelve years. I'm disabled I have NO time for this

I received a collection letter from Afni Collections, Inc to collect $794.65 for Contel of the South. It was sent to a previous married name which I have not been for twelve years. The telephone number 812-883-8847 I do not recognize. I am on disability and do not have time for such foolishnes!

When This company was checked on the internet all I found was what a scam it was. When I looked up THE Contel of the South, I just got the company lineage. No way to check on what was really going on. Please help to get this straightened out.
