Deceptive, fraudulent, arrogant, illegal

This company purports to furnish you with a free credit report and score. Nothing could be further from the truth. After filling out the application you are furnished with three credit reports, one from each credit service.

Each report costs $9.95, but nowhere do they tell you that. What they say is that your credit card will not be charged until your 30 day trial period is up, which of course is a lie. I found the charge on my statement and when I called them they said that they only meant the monthly charges for the continuous monitoring and that I should read the terms and conditions, which of course are concealed in a small box which you have to scroll thru to read.

The issue is really not even remotely addressed and the terms are all weasle worded and full of legalese showing that they undoubtedly have had trouble before. They are in violation of the Fair Credit Reporting Act and should be prosecuted but they have themselves covered with an arbitration clause and you would have to go to California to get at them.

I believe there are other complaints about them on this website. Please do not get sucked in like I did.
