Privacy Matter 123 is an online website that states for only a one time $1.00 fee you can check your credit for a trial period of 7 days as long as you cancel within the 7 days your card will not be charged. I used this service for 5 days and cancelled on 8-02-07 when I had already been charged $2.00 (no big deal right) On Monday August 6th I check my checking account balance online like normal and see that I have been charged 29.95 from this company causing my account to go negative. I then call the company at the phone number listed on the website and speak with a supervisor named Charles. Charles appologized for any inconvience and stated he would have this charge removed asap, I said thank you and released the call. Monday evening rolls around and I decide to check my balance to see if the charge has been removed and I notice there is another 29.95 charge after I had received a confirmation email stating not to worry I wont have to do anything else to cancel my account and my debit card has not and will not be charged!!! I try calling the same number back that stated they were there untill 9pm I called at 6pm and go the automated service stating they were closed. Tuesday morning I wake up and come check my account balance again to find 2 more charges for 29.95 my account at this point has overdrawm several other checks and bills that I have paid with the money I had once had. While talking to a supervisor again he said "I dont know what you are trying to accuse us of but I will investigate" I expressed Im not accusing you Im telling you what your company has in fact done and referenced this web site he then stated that I was being verbally abusive (i hadnt raised my voice or swore at him mind you) And at that time he released the call. Personally I thought checking my credit and using what seemed to be an honest company was a good thing... Please dont ever use this company it is the biggest scam ever and now I am hundreds of dollars in the hole... Luckly I have the best credit union in the world and they are working with me and doing everything they can to get this resolved!
