I was contacted in June saying I was pre-approved for a credit card with a limit of at least $1,000. All I had to do was pay $187 and they would send it to me.
My money was debited from my account in mid-June and I still haven't received a card. I've called several times and told many different things. One person said I would receive only a packet and after going to their website would I get the card 10 days later.
I was also told I would receive a free cell phone and satellite dish through the website. After a week or so no packet came and I asked for my money back but they said they could only return my money after I send back the packet (yet I hadn't even received this "packet" yet).
After calling once more today, they said they would send the packet again and I should receive it within 5 days. The only way they said I could get my money back was to send a letter in writing (through the mail, not e-mail) to New York stating why I didn't want their stuff and that I wanted my money back.
Only after coming to this website did I make myself believe I was ripped-off. I called my bank and told them I was conned out of my money and they are refunding the $187. The 19th of this month was the cutoff date to get my money back. I hope that whoever this has happened to that you get your money back.
Thanks,
Maranda
