Trilegiant, extending the consumer scam!

My wife has been duped by the very same company that I see other complaining about. My wife instead has a credit card account with HSBC (household finance) she has received what she thought were cash rebates from HSBC, these checks were for $8-9.00, were she thought was nice since it had the HSBC logo on them. Never thinking it that it was a scam by the very same business she holds an account with.

Well after a couple of years of depositing these checks she took notice that these checks were not from HSBC but instead from TLG Great Fun. They were charging her for one program for $100 a year. When she confronted HSBC, they claimed to have nothing to do with them. But some how when you deposit these checks with the HSBC logo, you are automatically enrolled into the various "Trilegiant" programs. Apparently each check they sent out each month was for a different program. You deposit, your enrolled, then out goes your payment with out you realizing what you just did.

Trilegiant has cloaked their program to appear on the surface like the bank your dealing with is giving you a rebate. They count that the consumer will think that the check is a rebate for being a loyal customer. The very worst of all in all this, after she unknowingly signed up for these phoney services she never received anything in the mail or any notification. Triligian purposely does not want send you any notification of the program, so they can continue to collect payment for the enrollment. HSCB are crooks! Trilegiant are bigger crooks!
