Deception, rip off, waste of time and money

I am very distraught about my experience with this school. When I originally visited the campus, a graduate student of UOP was my counselor. He was very courteous, but he deceived me. He guaranteed me that I would get the full Pell as well as the maximum loan amount. He even told me that I would have excess funds left over, and it would be disbursed to me within 2 weeks. He kept emphasizing how important it was to at least make the first two classes. Now I know why. After the second class, a student of UOP is responsible for the full amount of the class. Anyway, after my second class (which was convenient for them) I found out that I wasn't in fact getting the maximum student loan as well as the full Pell grant. I didn't even get enough to cover my first four classes. The financial aid manager tried to urge me to apply for private loans to cover the amount that was short on my account, but that didn't work out for me. I've decided to finish out that class and withdraw afterwards. Weeks later, I get a bill from the school for over $300.00 bucks and now it is in collections because I haven't been able to pay it.
