Com & PrivacyMatters123 Ripped Off My Bank Account After Cancellation!

Education & Science

I had decided to accept an online offer of free credit report from the major 3 credit-reporting agencies advertised on a site of PrivacyMatters.com, the Privacy Matters 123 program. I submitted the information (also getting sucked into Saving Smart membership along the way) and when I went to retrieve my credit report, my computer automatically shutdown, suggesting something evil afoot.

When I got back online, I immediately cancelled my account, confirmed by PrivacyMatters.com 04/18/07. But they withdrew $29.95 from my bank account 04/28/07, ten days AFTER confirming my cancellation which was reiterated and again confirmed 04/19/07.

No credit report, products or other services were ever supplied, either. I am angry at this gross and brazen violation by a company pretending to protect consumers. I would happily participate in a lawsuit to bring these fraudulent thieves to justice!
