Filed lawsuit on 7 year old debt ripoff

I just saw in the paper where I am being sued by MCM for a debt more than 7 yrs old. I went to the courthouse today to get a copy of what they filed and there was a "sworn" affidavit by someone I've never heard of.

I have a letter to the court that I plan on filing as a response to this suit, but would like to hear what others have submitted.

The really crazy thing is I am pretty sure the original debt was charged off about 6 years ago and I have received absolutely nothing from anyone, including MCM, until I read about the suit in our local paper. If this does go to court, anyone that can offer suggestions on what to have on hand would be great.
