Requested a wire transfer for flower supply and then we never heard from them again ripoff

I received a telephone call from mr. Mon of watida orchids. He solicited some business with me. He wanted to sell orchids from thailand so I said go ahead send me a fax of your prices. The prices were good. I requested for a trial shipment. They said that I need to send a wire transfer before they can ship out. Pre paying is the policy of all the orchid exporters in thailand. So I send him $1000 wire transfer. I have neve heard anything from him again. He never returned emails and other correspondences.
