Fraudulent, i believe, debt collection Ripoff

I've had the same experiences as the other posters here, and am glad i checked this place out! (actually i found this site by doing a search for MCG) they've actually been harassing us for about 2 or 3 months, claiming a debt owed to our power company here in southwest ohio! That never made sense to me, because obviously they are providing us with electricity and not trying to collect some "outstanding debt".

Still, they sounded important and i thought maybe somehow my husband had an old debt with them from before we were married, but we've been married four years & never heard anything of it from the power company themselves.

However, we are going through buying a house & received our credit reports which show NO outstanding debts so i've been waiting to hear from them again. (it's always a guy named quentin if they have a real person call me. I get recordings from "lora" or "tim hughes" for the same place all the time, too)

The one time that "quentin" called and my husband answered he actually requested a credit card #! My hubby told him where to stick it, we don't give out info over the phone!

Finally, this morning "quentin" called & i told him about the credit reports & requested their physical address. I will use some of the suggestions i read here... Just wanted to file our report with the others!
