I recieved a letter from a collection agency saying I owed over $8000.00 and it was reported on my credit.

When I called the collection agency to find out what this was about all they wanted was for me to pay and I would get a discount. I have requested the name of the creditor I am supposed to owe this debt to and so far have gotten no response. When I talked to this person all I wanted to know who this debt was owed to and when it was supposed be be incurred. They did tell me that this was orginally from 1994 but would not say in relation to what company.

I got my credit report from Trans Union and it is on my report. It shows LHR Inc. Has turned it over for collection and redated it for 01. It says the original creditor as Bank One Commercial. I have never had any account with Bank One commercial or otherwise.
