Government Grant Entitlement Center
Another UTAH based Rip Off about Grants St George

I was called at home by this company. I spoke to someone that barely spoke English, and then asked for his supervisor. The supervisor, Nick Jones (With a decidedly asian accent!) talked to me, and informed me that I would be charged for this long distance call unless I gave him another number to reach me. I screamed at him about this rip-off, and when I calmed down, I asked for their information which they could not produce.
In true "columbo-fashion", I stupidly gave them my information, but they kept giving me different information. One time it was "no charge ever" for this. Next time, it was "$249.95, but only after you return the application". Third time, it was "We need to authorize the $249.95 on your credit card in the next two days". Then, it was "Just say yes or no, we will do all the rest", then they tried to authorize the payment of $249.95 without me saying a word. I finally asked to be removed from thier calling list, and a letter be sent to me stating that my information be erased and a statement to that effect.
I am going to my bank and making them aware of this situation, and letting them know that any charges from this company will immediately be challenged, and I will contact the media if they are not. I am also changing my debit card number and account number.
I will now check with the Better Business Bureau about this place. Hopefully, they will not get me with this scam, but if you have lost any money, I hope you get everything back. I'm going to check with a few gov't agencies to see if they are aware of this company. I bet there are quite a few older folks that actually lose money to these thieves.
