Drugs, Gangs, Volience and the Parents, teachers who cant teach Ripoff

Newtown High School in Elmhurst NY needs a serious over haul. The school is falling apart, dust, dirt, bugs all over the place. There is gang volience that parents are not told about but most find out in the Daily News about stabbings near the school. Drugs are common problem but it seems the school looks the other way. Some teachers can barely speak English to teach the kids what the need in order to pass the regents. I pulled my child out and got her into a real good school. When you complain they retilate on the child. Numerous good kids have tranfered out of this school though they live in the district to go further to school because they cant learn. Alot of the teachers have thick accents so you cannot understand what they are trying to teach which is a real problem. Kids come and go through the building through the day as the please, I have seen this first hand. As a taxpayer and parent this is sickening. There have been numerous news articles on this school all about the gangs, volience and drugs yet the school turns a blind eye. Try going to the principal he is too busy playing with the objects on his desk to speak to a parent. One time I went to see him and with his door half open knowing I could hear him he tells his assistant tell her I'm busy you deal with whatever she wants yet his man is playing with some kind of swing figure on his desk. Maybe that is why his school is falling apart around him.
