Deceptive, trapped in their program, abusive, tried to force me out after spending 100K, crappy teaching. Ripoff

I attended the Academy for Five Element Acupuncture after being recruited for their program. Once in the program they tell you that you are required to bring all you own clients into clinic for your own training. The Clinical Director decided he did not like me and got the rest of the administration to try to force me out of the program by treating me really bad. Marking me down, not teaching me and generally abusing me in front of all of my other classmates.

It was very very bad. I had to use an education attorney which was extremely difficult to find to force them to let me stay in the program and complete it. These are some very nasty people who are ripping people off regularly while they take vacations all over the world. The teaching is very poor, they are supposed to prepare a student for the national exam and they DO NOT. They make it clear that since this is a "Masters" level program that you are responsible for your own education.

Basically you are buying a degree and how much you know is up to you. DON'T BE FOOLED! The Five Element Acupuncture schools in this country are terribly run and abusive. The base of an acupuncuture education is TCM and they only give you a taste. Not enough to know it for the national exam. But the worst part about these schools and I heard it from student that went to the school in Colorado and Maryland too is the ABUSE. They have some wacky idea that abuse will make you a stronger individual.
