Complete Ripoff, worst customer service ever, should be out of business, never delivers!

On September 9, I purchased a desk for my son's 8th birthday present. The delivery was scheduled for Sept. 28th (perfect, b/c his birthday was the 30th). The 28th came and went with no phone calls, no explanations, no delivery.

I called them the next day. They said "Oh, the hutch was on back order, didn't anyone call me?" I was very upset, but agreed to the new delivery date of 10/28/05.

The delivery instructions were to call me 1 hour before delivery, on my cell. That is b/c their delivery window was from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. They called on the 28th, I was home on time, and they brought in a dresser. No desk, no hutch... A dresser. I explained that this was the wrong item, and of course, they said it was someone elses fault, back at the warehouse for pulling the wrong item. They said someone would be calling me to re-schedule the correct delivery.

Now the date of delivery becomes Nov. 8. They called and left a message of this on Nov. 7. I even went to the trouble of calling them back, to make sure they still called my cell, one hour before delivery. They said "no problem". On the morning of the 8th, I went to the grocery store, 2 miles from my house. I kept checking my cell phone to make sure it was on. When I got home, I checked my home messages and there were no messages.

Several hours went by and no one called or came by. I finally got thru to them and they informed me that the delivery truck came at 11:00 and no one was home. I went crazy and they couldn't give me a good explaination of why no one every called.

I canceled the desk and hutch out of sheer rage of their incomptence, only to look over at my 2nd grader, who was crying.

The desk was a great deal for a kid - just $300 for the whole thing, Pottery Barn would have been over $1000 and I didn't need that kind of quality for a young kids desk.

I called them back, had no luck getting anyone with remorse or understanding, so I marched into the Rockville Store. As others have said in this website... The manager's suck, they have obviously dealt with this ALL of the time, could care less and kind of act that way.

"Doug" gets the deliver for Nov. 18, and I leave the store. On NOv. 17th, they call to confirm the delivery, but before I can even call them back with the cell phone advance call, they call again to say it won't be in on the 18th, the hutch is out of stock until mid December.

I finally wise up, tell them to cancel and write a letter to my credit card to charge back the amount.

I wish we could truly put them out of business. Let me know if anything I say or do can help!
