Ripoff Non-Substantiated Collection Appearing on Consumer Credit Files

I was So happy to see other reports on this BOGUS company and theor BOGUS credit reporting!

I have been a long term AT&T customer. I was with them for approximately 15 years. All of those years with continuous service. Never late, never a non-payment on my record. When they were bought out by Cingular Wireless, Palisades Collections appeared on all three of my credit bureau reports. I have disputed these with all three bureaus, but the only thing that happens is they go back to the incompetant fruitcakes @ Palisades Collections and re-verify the same INCORRECT information. The end result is that this item stayed on my credit files.

VERY frustrating, because even though I have explained to all parties involved that I would not have had continuous service with AT&T, and now with Cingular, if I would have had a balance at any time. They would have cut my service off in an instant! They are reporting that my account had a balance of $88 since 1999!

This has caused me great damage (as well as stress and mental anguish) because I have been denied credit in more than one instance. Also, my SCORES took a 101 point dive with each of the three credit bureaus.

Something has got to be done about this issue. It is ridiculous that we work so hard to have good credit just to have a reckless company ruin it for us.
