Ripoff company closed account for no reason defaming my reputation

I have been a customer of Qvc (which is a shop at home tv network) for over 15 years. I spend on an average of 9 to 10 thousand dollars a year with them.

I have never had a problem until today. I placed an order and was informed that their corporate office had closed my account because a member of my household (my 33year old son who does not live with me) had a credit card with them and still owes them money.

First of all I did not know this; and more importantly I am certainly not legally responsible for the actions of a grown adult.

I always paid them using my American Express card. This is why business's in the United States are losing tons of customers. With service like this I am sure that I can find many retailers who would love to have the money that I previously spent with QVC.
I will be contacting an attorney to report this slander and to see if I can sue them.
This is outrageous and I'm not going to take it.
