Ripoff Wait forever for the Scrapbook

This is one of those companies that advertise all over TV. You watch this fabulous offer on TV for a Scrapbook and 3,000 pieces at a super duper price and are told to call now to receive this offer with a "special free bonus".

First of all, you call and you have to listen to some poor schmuck trying to sell you an additional 25 products. They will list everything but the kitchen sink.

You get tired of listening to this and saying no to everything. After a while you also start feeling sorry for the phone order person who is just trying to make a buck. It is very irritating.

When your done placing the order you're told that it will be 2 to 4 weeks for delivery.

After waiting 7 weeks I called them. I was told by the person in customer service that she was very shocked to see that someone cancelled my order. I told her that niether I, nor anyone who has authorization to use my credit card called to cancel my order.

She appologized over and over again. Then she told me she would place the order again and mark rush. She also said it would be sent out as soon as they recieved all the product to ship the order because some things are on back order now. I should have seen this as another red flag.

I waited another 2 weeks and thought I better call again.
I got another person to tell me that "OH, NO somebody cancelled your order. I don't know how that happened". Yea sure.

Now I get it.

Then I told this other person to put my order in right now or I'll really cancel. So she said it will be at my home within a week. Then she said let me get your credit card # just to be sure, so I repeated it to her and then she told me the total was $79.99 plus tax. I almost fell off my chair. I told her "NO, The offer is supposed to be $39.99. She said "Well your original order said you wanted additional product".

Now I thought my original order was cancelled. She said it was but they have a record of it. I was getting really annoyed by her and was understanding that they are all liars. I told her that just charge me for the Scrapbook and nothing else. Then she asked me if I still wanted the free bonus of sissors and glue stick. I said "well its' free, so of course. Then she gave me a total of $49.99. I said "NO, WHAT ARE YOU DOING?" She said "Do you want the free sissors and glue stick. I told her again of course. They're free. She said "It will cost $9.99 extra for shipping. OH MY GOD! So, they can't ship a crummy sissors and little glue stick together with my order? She said "No, they must be shipped separately. What's free about them.

How frustrating. I then told her "It took me a little while but I just figured out that you are all cheaters and liars. Cancel my order right now." She then said "Oh I promise to ship it out right away. Just then I told her that I'm going to have to report this company to someone and she told me to go to hell.

This is an unbelievable company. The people will jerk you around for more than 2 months for this product and then lie to you and then lie some more and jack up your purchase price then get rude to you on the phone.
It seems every time I get involved with something sold on TV I get burnt.

I'll buy my Scrapbook supplies at a local store where I can trust the people and talk to them personally.
Shame on Memeories Direct and their phone ordering dept.
They are scammers and liars.
