Cajoled into keeping extra time, then charged my card and refused to take back RIPOFF

Education & Science

I did in fact order the "Rich Dad Poor Dad" package but after reviewing the tapes and the printed manual I concluded that it would give me no more useful knowledge that I already posessed. I called the company several weeks before the 30 day trial period ended to obtain an return authorization code. The gentleman on the other end of the fun did his best to convince me extend the trial period and after my refusing several times, I finally accepted. He had extended the trial period to 1/4/05.

With the hustle of the holidays and me working a crazy retail schedule I managed to call on the 1/11/05 (after checking my bank account and realizing that had made a debit of $126.00!!) The gentleman refused to take the product back (they already had the payment) and said that the best he could do was extend the payments.

I am furious about their deceptive and unprofessional measures - seems that they just like to get the customer to hold on to the product long enough to debit their account and then there is no negotiating.

I am quite sure that Mr. Kiyasaki would strongly object to these business tactics and I am determined to speak to him or a senior representative in his company so that he is aware of the business tactics that Professional Education Institutes uses. Mr. Kiyasaki is an honest and reliable businessman and I am sure he would not approve of this company's tacticts.

Buyer beware of anything this company markets.
