I was called and offered a $2500. Limit credit card with a $250. Deposit from my bank account. I went ahead and gave them my information with the understanding that it would not be finalized (or deducted) until I read the paperwork, signed it, and returned it. I also never received a confirmation phone call as told would happen.
I never recieved any paperwork, but yet the amount was already deucted from my account.
After repeated phone calls I spoke with amanda laboy, head of customer service, on dec 16 at 11 am. She replayed the tape recorded phone call but not in entirety. Only parts to their advantage did she listen to.
I was told that after the debit cleared (approx. 7 days) that they would see if they could re-credit my account the money and cancell the card (which was never recieved)
I then asked her, why is it that I have to wait for a unauthorized debit (that was already deducted from my account) to clear with them before anything can be done or cancelled? It is my money they had no permission or right to take it. She then hung up on me because I was getting mad, frustrated, loud.
