Postal Positions - Job Resources
Postal Positions - Job Resources ripoff Misleading employment advertising for Postal Positions

Education & Science

This company places ads in local papers, magazines etc. Announcing employment for postal positions. When you call the phone number in the ad, they ask you questions such as your age, are you a citizen of the U.S. And then go on to tell you all the positions available.

You are then told that you need to register and for a fee of $98.90 plus $9.95 for shipping and handling, they will send you the study materials and self tests that you will need to pass the postal exam.

They go on to explain that when you have studied and feel that you are ready, you are to call the number included in the packet to set up a time to take your exam. If you fail the exam, or do not get a job after an interview, you will be refunded the money for the study materials.

What they fail to mention, is that they are not affiliated with the United States Postal Service and that they cannot guarantee you employment.

I even asked them directly if they were working for the post office and they said "YES". I went ahead and gave them my credit card information believing what they told me.

It wasn't until the next day after speaking with a postal employee that I found out that this is a scam. When I called back to cancel my order, I was hung up on three times as soon as they found out what I wanted to do. Finally a fourth time, someone actually talked to me. I was told that my packet has already been mailed out and that it was too late to cancel.

Now I am in the process of disputing this charge with my credit card company. This company has a bad review with the BBB, as I have already checked it out. I plan on contacting the Tennessee Attorney Generals Office as well. This should be considered as advertising fraud, and I do not know how they get away with it!

Do not respond to any ads of this nature without fully checking into it first!
