Ripoff scam, lied about government grant qualification. Be very careful

It was around 8:40am on a Sunday morning when I was called by a man whom had an Australian accent. He called and said that I had qualified for a gov't grant of $8000 and all I needed to do was pay a one time processing fee of $257.00.

Now I am a college student and I was thinking... Hmmm I could pay off some of my college tuition with this, so I unfortunately gave the person my account number and routing number. He was fortunate to call in the morning when I couldn't think as well. I felt very angry after I realized I was scammed.

My bank is not in the area and I really didn't call them to do much, instead I called my friend who had been scammed myriad times. He told me to just File a Complaint in the BBB (Better Business Bureau) website against this company, as I urge all to do.

Just yesterday my money was taken out of my account and I really need some major help. Is there anything anyone knows that I can do to get my money back? I really cannot believe this happened to me, these people must be penalized to the fullest extent of the law immediately!
