AT 7:50 on the 20th of November of I recieved a phone call (on my cell, no less) from a Candi Simpson representing the Government Grant Processing Center out of Las Vegas, Nevada. Now, being the ignorant and foolish 18 year old that I was, i was lured in by the whopping $8,000 and only slightly suspicious of the strong Middle Eastern accent.

As candi told me about the grant and how, only a select few recieved this call every year, i quite litterally jumped at the offer. Even after hearing the $257 dollar processing fee. Dreams of dollar bills clouding my vision filled my head, like sugar plums on christmas. She transferred me to the verification department, even after giving her my information. (Yes, I fell for it. Even though I only had $3.04 dollars in my account.) Another person answered, also with a strong Middle Eastern accent.

At this point my mother heard me, an pick up the phone and procecced to "bit*" him out, which I thourougly enjoyed, since I was getting very suspicious. After that she hung up with a "click". Seconds later my phone rang again and the same man replied when I said "Hello?" With few short words my mother exchanged with him, practically calling his bluff. "If you're with the government, then why does it cost money." But anyway, she hung up again, and that was it. The next day, I went to my bank and decided to cancel my account. All $3.04 cents of it. I haven't taken any actions yet.
