Ripoff

Education & Science

I have totally ripped off by this company. I gave them my 69.99 and they told me that my service would be on in a few days, and I waited the three business days and I had no dial tone.

So, I called them back and they said that it maybe a problem with the wiring and that they would have a Tech come out. I waited a few days for the Tech and no one ever came out. I called them back and they stated that the Tech came out at 3pm on that Saturday, but that was a lie because I was holding my child's birthday party and no one ever came by. We continued calling them and we would get an excuse everytime.

We then saw a worker from SBC and he checked into the problem and stated that the company hooked up the phone service in the wrong apartment. They put a one infront of my apartment number. We called them and told them the problem and they keep telling me that they would get it solved and then once when I called they wanted me to pay a transfer fee of $40.00 and I told them that I was not going to pay a transfer fee for their mistake.

I then asked for a refund and they said that they dont do refunds, which I found very strange. Basically, they wouldn't give me service in the correct apartment, didn't want to refund my money and wanted me to pay a transfer fee.

Well my husband told them to stick it where the sun doesn't shine and we have reported them to the BBB and to a local consumer helper in Houston.
