Issues with multiple purchases - Dining Set, and Bedroom Set!

We received our bedroom set, and almost immediately began having issues with the box springs squeaking after my husband our myself moved, rolled over, got up. After having a few repairman investigate, my husband took the box spring completely apart, and found it was composed of cardboard, and 2x4s held together with staples! It was the most horrible construction I have ever seen. We were able to resolve the issue just by removing the cardboard and 100 million staples, and adding more planks for support.

Although this was a bad experience, the dining room set is worse. After receiving our dining table and chairs, the delivery persons were using a strange amount of force to place the leaf into the middle. When asked about this - they brushed it off as if it was normal for a table that hadn't been used yet.

After having the leaf in the table for almost a year, we decided to remove the leaf for a more personal setting. My husband - who is incredible strong - had to use force to close the two sides of the table. The amount of force was him actually using all his weight, as well as pull down on one side! It took him almost an hour to close the table.

This year, we hosted Thanksgiving for the first time, and needed the leaf in. Once again, my husband had to use all his force, plus a rubber mallet, plus 2.5 hours of trying to separate inch by inch to get this apart.

After Thanksgiving, I contacted the company for our "extended warranty", Guardian who we have a 5 year plan with - and they state that they aren't covering anything that seems to be manufacturing defects! Contact American Furniture Galleries, and they of course don't cover it outside of the year.

The quality of the furniture is way below par. For the amount of money spent at this store, we really should be given working hardware. If there is a problem during delivery - they delivery person should (1) know what they are doing, and (2) care enough about the customer to be truthful! DO NOT buy anything from this company!!!
