Honey Doo Handyman Service - Jeffery Scott Cantees, (AKA Scott Cantees) ripoff Lied, cheated, provided false licensing info, stole cash, left with job incomplete after being paid in full

Scott was a charming man in the beginning. Seemed honest and hard working. He was refered to me by a friend who was at the time using his services and their relationship was good. However, that relationship also went south soon after they had made the recommendation to me.

Scott claimed he was a licensed Handyman. He provided false licensing information #1366606 and bid the job way over his legal limit as a handyman.

Gave bid of $833.81 to install jacuzzi. I gave him a $500 cash deposit (my bad). Work started off fine but after a few days roughly $400 cash turned up missing from my home. He denied having anything to do with it.

After that it was difficult to get him to come over to finish the job which was only about 1/2 complete. He did come one more day worked a little and presented me a stack of photo copys of reciepts with a total of $250 for materials. I gave him the money and that was the last time I saw him.

When I took a closer look at the reciepts he had given me photo copys of, many of them were dated 4 months or more prior to us meeting.

The job was never completed by him even though he swore he would come back and do it.

A licensed electriction charged me roughly $400 to undo the wiring that Scott had installed, it was not the correct gage wire, and to complete the job.

Attempts to serve court papers to Scott have been unsuccessful and he continues to rip off others.

Scott preys on people he can "make friends with" He's a nice guy at first and easy to like, but don't be fooled he is a pathologic liar and may be dangerous.
