Professional Rip Off Contracto

Josh Olson is a rip off artist. He seemed nice enough when he came over for a bid (I found him on craigslist). Boy was I wrong! He didn't do any work at all! I went with him after another contractor fell through. His bid was 500 more than the other but I thought he would do a good job. We verbally negotiated price and agreed on 1000 bucks.

He asked for 500 up front for materials and I wrote him a check. Major mistake! After he got my money he wouldn't write or call to do the work. Finally I got him back over to take a second look at the job and he asked me for another check for materials! Seriously??!! I should have called the police at this point but I really wanted to get the job done so I told him I would go to home depot and pay for materials and he wouldn't get anymore money until I saw some work.

Just like the other person, he would call and tell me he was going to do work, then cancel last minute. He wouldn't return my calls or texts when I wanted to see when he would be over to do the work. I was getting nervous because this scammer had 500 of my money and was unresponsive. When I finally sent him an angry email telling him I wanted the work done and that he is a terrible business man, he had the gall to turn it on me! He then told me he would not do the work for the price we had verbally agreed upon and he would only do it for his original price. I told him I wanted my money back and he came up with 100 excuses why he wasn't giving me my money back. He even told me he had a guy waiting to do the work the day of the delivery and he had to pay him to wait on the delivery! Seriously??!! The problem is that the delivery got here at 1 in the afternoon so why did he send his man home when the concrete got here? This guy will steal your money. Keep him away from your house projects and your home and your wallet. This guy is scam central. He also has a business called Front Range General Contractors. Stay away!
