Pay Less Carpet
Their "guarantee" ends when they get paid

We had Pay Less Carpet of Fremont, Ca install our wood floor — we paid half down, with the other half due upon completion. They were helpful and very accessable while the work was being done (which took a week due to their workmen showing up late or not at all a couple times).

We paid in full on the final day's work... And after the workmen left, we noticed gaps between the wood floor and the walls, side molding blocking phone jacks, etc... What any professional would call "shoddy workmanship"

Okay, no problem... We figured we would just call Pay Less Carpet and have the men come back and spend a couple hours repairing these problems, since they stress their work is fully guaranteed.

Well guess what, folks... Pay Less Carpet suddenly stopped returning our calls. We called at least 15 times over the next few weeks... All we ever got was a promise "someone" would call back — and they never did. Ever. Not once.

My wife and I ended up making these repairs ourselves, when we realized this company's "guarantee" ends the moment they have been paid. If you live in the east bay, and need carpet or flooring... Take my advice and call someone else.
