I originally signed with Brinks (Broadview) Security. They had superior equipment. I was charged $46.99/mo for basic service. ADT bought Broadview, taking over all of their accounts. I continued paying $46.99/mo, for the next 30 mos.

I decided to change my security and had 6 mos left on my contract. While speaking with the customer service rep for ADT, she offered to lower my monthly bill to keep my service. She said she could lower my bill to $34.99/mo (THEIR basic plan). Hmmm, so i paid an extra $360 for the last 30 mos for...? The rep stated 'all you had to do was call us and request to lower your bill and we would have worked with you.'. I was told i would be charged $234 - the ADT contract opt-out rate, per ADT's contract, not Broadview.
