Refuses to replace defective Brasilla deck material covered with black mold

I installed a 12' x 30' deck using Trex Brasilla Cayenne in September. We purchased your product over IPE wood due to the performance claim of low maintenance and the 25 year warranty. Now about a year and a half later we have black mold covering the entire deck.

Trex responded with a "free" cleaning kit. I applied the cleaning solution as directed. It did clear the deck of mold for a few weeks but it's back worse then before. But it also made the product lighter in color.

Contacted Trex again in 2011 asking for compensation to replace the defective Trex Brasillia product. We received a letter back in November stating "they take their customers very seriously and carully examine all presented material to determine whether a condition falls under a Trex warranty".

They went on further to explain that "mold and mildew grows on all decking materials but the performance of the deck is not affected".
