Manager on duty abusive when refund was requested ripoff

On 7/25/04, I ordered a dinette set and prepaid $299.99/in full for it. I was told it would be available for pick up on 7/31. I called the store on 7/31 & was told it hadn't come in but would be in on Mon 8/2 or Tues 8/3. When I called the store on 8/3, I was told again it hadn't come in but it would be in on Fri 8/6 or Sat 8/7.

I went to the store on Thurs 8/5 to get a refund because I felt they were being dishonest with me & I was tired of waiting. When I told the girl at the desk what I wanted, she called to a guy working there who was explaining to a customer why her order wasn't in yet. The girl told the guy what I wanted & he said no refunds & told her to give me a copy of their policies. I told them I wanted someone to tell me why I couldn't get a refund. The guy, who at first said he was the manager & later said he wasn't, said that was their policy.

My husband was with me & he read their refund policy which states no refund after merchandise leaves the building... If customer paid cash, the 1st $300 of the refund will be made at the store within 24 hrs of customer demand. I definitely demanded my refund. This guy kept interrupting me, cursed me, looked away when I spoke to him so much that I asked him to look at me when I spoke to him, laughed at me, & told me he wasn't going to give me a refund.
