How customers see your business if you're not listed with them

I have a kitchen remodeling company and after reading reports on this site and another consumer affairs site, I am glad I have not signed up with them. I keep reading about how SM sends you exact matches but fails to mention that they are also sending those "exact matches" to every one of your competitors. Another thing I noticed is that if you' re not signed up with them and you look up your company name, your company name comes up and to the right it says "this business is NOT Service Magic Screened and Approved". Then underneath is reiterates stating "ABZ business has not updated their listing or been screened by ServiceMagic. However, you can find Screened and Approved Cabinet Contractors in Chicago, IL." This statement is taken word for word from their website. My brother was looking up my business on Google and found my business name linked to their site. When he read this information he said that as a customer he figured that SMagic had evaluated my business and found my business not fit to be listed with them. And if you read this on their site it's true, it's like they're making their customers believe that your company did not pass their rigorous standards but no worries they can still help by getting you someone that they approve of. Their advertisement and depiction of your company is a bit slanderous. This is my opinion and can't imagine that another business owner would not feel the same way. Just because a business is not listed with service magic doesn't mean they aren't businesses with integrity..
