Gourmet Cooking AquaChef Seal N Fresh Was NOT authorized to charge my card $39.85 - Refusal to refund

I ordered a Seal N Fresh vacuum sealer from Kitchen Advance for $9.95. My card was charged $39.85, prior to shipment of item, for which I can get no explanation. Based on other complaints, apparently they were charged $39.85 to pay for return shipping of the item before it is even shipped to the consumer! What? Yep - they must be psychic and know in advance that you will be returning their item!

They never answer their phone or answer my email communications regarding this charge. I have refused shipment on the item when it arrived and the post office returned item to shipper. Have filed California Attorney General complaint and have contacted the International Housewares Association where Kitchen Advance is supposed to be attending a trade show in March in Chicago, alerting them to the unsavory business practices of this vendor. I don't think they realize that karma has a way of gaining momentum on the way back around!!! LOL Time will tell...
