Bad machine design, won't clean clothes, they will not take it back

We purchased the newest design in Maytag washer and dryer, the Neptune "TL", believing Maytag to be the best of the best. However, the new design twists clothing into knots causing one to spend time separating and straightening the clothes prior to putting into the dryer and, after drying, still having to iron.

In addition, the machine doesn't clean the clothes properly. Significantly cheaper machines provide cleaner clothes and do NOT require the ironing now required.

So, I have spent at least twice as much and have trippled the time necessary to do my laundry. The store says they require Maytag to authorize a return. Maytag says they don't take machines back, they will only repair them.

We cannot get any action on this. (Additionally, the machines were delivered with a broken drain hose and a dented door taking a week to repair. The drain hose repair was done improperly and took another week to remedy.)

They are now going to ruin another Saturday as we wait for a repairman to come to tell us that the machine works just fine. It doesn't and it won't. It's a BAD design!
