Ripoff Discourteous, unknowlegeable staff, unknowledgeable contractors Do not go with them for a home warranty package

If your realtor suggests a home warranty package do not go with First American Homebuyers Protection Corporation.

I discovered that my plumbing was backed up on Sunday and I placed a call to First American Homebuyers Protection Corporation. The CSR was not blatently rude, but she was not very friendly or understanding. I explained that water was coming out by my washing machine drain and she was thinking I was having a problem with my washing machine... Not at all the case. We got that straightened out and she said A Bargain Mechanical was assigned to my problem.

A Bargain Mechanical called on Monday to say they would be calling to set an appointment. (My plumbing is still backed up.) On Tuesday A Bargain Mechanical called to set an appointment for Wednesday between 8am and 1pm. (My plumbing is still backed up.) On Wednesday a technician named Kieth came closer to the 1pm time. He made the observation that there was a blockage in my sewer pipe. (Hadn't I already made that observation?) He couldn't locate a clean out. He said he would have to get a different company to fix the problem. (There was a $45 fee for this man to come and not fix my problem.)

I am no plumber, but I looked on the internet to see what a clean out was supposed to look like. I looked in my garage at my sewer pipes and... There was a clean out.

I called First American Homebuyers Protection Corporation to report my findings and see if my problem could be escalated to an emergency status. The CSR was very uncaring and said there wasn't anything she could do.
