Rip-off! Unethical, illegal, lying, disrespectful and deceptive! Do not use!

I hired Re Bath Northwest to remodel my mother's bathroom a while back. The work was not as it was promised or agreed to. Mr. Miner the owner refused to acknowledge his errors and oversights when they failed to install the tub-liner we chose, instead he arbitrarily chose one and installed it on his own accord.

When confronted about the error he simply said he forgot to tell us that the one my mother chose would not fit. We advised him that we would not accept that as an answer and that we would not pay for the full amount of the balance due for work that was not as agreed. He told me that if I do not pay the full amount he would file a lien. He also noted to us that, "You are out of line, " he then hung up on us and filed a lien on my mothers home for the full amount of the lien. Mr. Miner is essentially trying to blackmail us into paying for work that was not agreed to.

Not only did Mr. Miner and Re Bath Northwest fail to fulfill their agreement in whole, but they failed to follow the laws governing their conduct as contractors. Mr. Miner and Re Bath failed to provide us with a disclosure statement (Notice to Customer) regarding liens and our rights in the event a lien is filed. If Mr. Miner does not provide us with a copy of this disclosure statement he precluded from filing a lien or foreclosing on it. That simple fact doesn't matter to him. Since he was not going to be paid what he felt he was entitled to he went ahead and filed the lien anyway. The law and your needs are superceded by Mr. Miner's unethical behavior, illegal and deceptive practices.

Mr. Miner filed an illegal lien and as of today the Washington State Department of Labor and Industries is investigating his conduct as well as wanting to know why this contractor has been operating illegally (no active insurance) since February.

This company and Mr. Miner can not be trusted to live up to their agreement or act in your best interest. They have no regard for the law and do not care about you as a customer. Learn from our lesson and do not hire this unethical and deceptive business. You will regret it.
