Sears/Kenmore
Poor service

I just purchased a Kenmore washer and dryer (stackable). The problem began with the delivery! It was schwduled to be delivered on a Friday morning between 10AM and 12Pm. The day of the delivery, the machines didn't arrive, so I called delivery and I was told that they were running late and the driver would call with an exact time of delivery. No such call was received, so I called again at 2PM and was told my delivery had been canceled. I told the gentlemen that Ithought a call would have been appropriate. He flippantly said it would be delivered on Sunday. It was indeed delivered on Sunday but it was vented wrong so it had to go back to the warehouse and be delivered at a later date. The reason for the error was that the salesperson had failed to specify the left venting. I might add that the delivery people were very professional and polite. He then had me speak to Andrea who told me I had to go to the store and purchase a left venting kit, which sounded strange. However, I went and was told I did not have to purchase anything and this could have been done over the phone. It was finally delivered last Saturday installed but they had provided us with the wrong venting system. So we had to go to home depot to purchase the correct system and totally disgusted, I had my handy man finish the job. So as a result, I am out the $34.95 that the vent system cost me and the $50.00 my handy man charged me. Needless to say this entire fiasco has left a bad taste in my mouth regarding dealing with Sears again. I would appreciate some feedback about this whole situation.
