Yusuf Elansari The Shutter Company took deposit for blinds which did not arrive - BE WARNED!

As per the many other numerous postings on this site i also suffered months of frustration waiting for shutters which never arrived. I also experienced the continuous excuses and broken promises of return calls and action described by others.

All seemed well when the survey was undertaken and the rep seemed knowledgable about the product - as an architect i had some strong ideas on how i wanted the shutters to be arranged. The price was competitive so i paid the deposit (feb) and was informed that we would get a call when shutters were ready for installation. I was advised at the survey that the shutter company were likely to turn around the order in 8 weeks - however in my first call to the office i was told this was not likely and 12 weeks is their stated 'turn-around' period. After 12 weeks i still had not received a call so chased again. I then had to chase on a weekly basis to see when the shutters would be avaliable. The numerous reasons varied from; problems with suppliers, delays because of suppliers new year, my shutters not contained within the latest delivery, unsure if they will be contained in next delivery, delays in delivery to port, problems with custom clearance in port.

One of the frustrations with dealing with the shutter company is that a 3rd party fields their calls so often you can only leave a message which is often not returned. Eventually, i was given Yusef's mobile number and i was at least able to vent my frustrations and was promised a discounted cost if i continued to wait. Stupidly i thought this might result in some action but after further excuses i demanded the return of my deposit.

I am adding my experience of dealing with the shutter company to the list of previous complaints as a warning to those considering placing an order. This company has serious issues to resolve regarding its suppliers and the way it treats customers. There are alternative companies on the net and i would suggest anyone considering ordering shutters try these - please dont waste time with the shuter company.
