Statewide Remodeling
Sunroom with Glass roof

Construction & Repair

In 2002 I had a Sunroom with a glass roof installed over my patio by Statewide Remodeling. It leaked from the beginning. I contacted Statewide Remodeling multiple times for the next 3 years (until they stopped taking my calls). After trying to fix it, including a statement by the general manager that maybe the roof was too short, Statewide Remodeling eventually told me that my house leaked and their room was not at fault. They stopped talking to me after two and a half years and would do no more to remedy the situation. I have tried to have it fixed between 2002 and 2011 with other vendors and nothing worked. The room leaked from where the roof joined the house and around the sky lights.

This year, I finally had the room torn down to put in a room that does not leak. When we took off the Statewide room, we found extensive structural water damage behind the room.

Statewide Remodeling told me to hold onto the warranty application until they got the room fixed, that way the clock would start once I had a finished product. They stalled, ignored and did not fix the room until the legal statute of limitations (3 years) had run out. I also had run out of time to submit the warranty application. I believe this to be a use of deceptive business practices.

After paying $21,924.00 for a room I could never use, I feel it is fair to warn others of their unscrupulousness.
