Beware Deceptive Trade Practices and Poor Quality Workmanship

Advance Foundation Repair placed 10 concrete pilings on the south side of my house at a cost of $4,200 in April. I puchased the house in April. Several months after purchasing the house I called Advance to inquire about the "Life Time Transferable Warranty". I was surprised when they told me that the transfer had to be made within 90 days of the purchase of the house.

I could see no valid reason for this requirement so I asked for an explanation. To date Advance has refused to offer an explanation. I also asked Advance to agree to binding arbitration with the Better Business Bureau. Advance refused. I then learned that Advance is not an accredited member of the Better Business Bureau! I have also checked with a few other foundation repair companies and found that most of them do not include a time period for reporting a transfer after the sale of a house.

I now have cracks in three walls of the house. All on the south side where the pilings were installed. This company obviously does poor quality work and uses deceptive trade practices to lead the public into beleiving their work is done in a workmanship manner. I made a big investment in my house thinking that the foundation would not be a problem. If you plan to buy or sell a property and need the foundation repaired, I suggest you stay away from companies like Advance Foundation Repair.
