Disgusted! - Kenmore Drye

I have been buying Sears appliances since I was first married in 1956 and this is the first time I have been soooo disgusted with what I purchased! During the past 56 years, I have purchased all of the normal appliances that are used in a home - always the Kenmore brand - but never again!!!

I just bought a new Kenmore dryer. I was under the impression by what I was shown that I could regulate the heat, the cycles, etc. Imagine my surprise when studying the "owner's manual" which, incidentally is about as worthless as any piece of paper I've ever seen, and discovered that EVERYTHING seems to be automatic - I cannot regulate anything! For that, I could have continued much better with my 23 year old Kenmore dryer which still allowed me to select a high, low, medium, permanent press or air cycle. This stupid thing does NOT!!! For that, I have paid $600 (on sale) - for nothing! I cannot find a permanent press cycle - although it SAYS something about cool-down, I cannot find a way to use the "cool-down" cycle - if there is one! Then, to add insult to injury - although my husband and I have had a Sears charge card since the late 50's or early 60's - and the last time they changed our "location" for our charge card was 1969 - suddenly, I had to apply for a NEW card before I could order the dryer. Then - further insult - my husband's name is NOT on the account - nor did you issue a card to him on this NEW account.

I have bought my LAST purchase of any kind from Sears, and I plan to tell my friends and my relatives all over this country what a worthless place Sears has become!

I am NOT with a company - how can you contact me if you don't even ask for my name/e-mail address? More smoke and mirrors?
